Threaded stud bolts, commonly called stud bolts, are essential fastening elements in the assembly of flanges, valves, fittings, and pressure-bearing components. Their primary function is to ensure uniform and long-lasting tightening, maintaining the seal of the joint even under critical operating conditions, where high mechanical stress, thermal variations, and continuous pressure cycles are present.
Manufactured according to the main international standards ASTM, ASME, AFNOR, BS, DIN and UNI, Mekano stud bolts are made in a wide range of materials suitable for high or low temperature services, corrosive environments and special applications.
The high-temperature alloy steel versions (ASTM A193 series) ensure high mechanical strength and perfect dimensional stability even above 500°C, making them ideal for petrochemical plants, steam turbines, process lines and heat exchangers.
For cryogenic or low-temperature services, the ASTM A320 line ensures ductility and fracture resistance, maintaining constant tightening torque even after long periods of operation.
Corrosion-resistant alloys (Monel, Inconel, Hastelloy, Alloy 660, 718, etc.) and duplex and super-duplex steel versions are also available, specifically designed for marine, offshore, and chemical treatment plant environments where maximum reliability against oxidation and chloride corrosion is required. All tie rods can be supplied with matching nuts and washers, in accordance with the same reference standards, and with customized surface treatments to improve protection and reduce friction during assembly.
Thanks to rigorous control of production processes and complete traceability of materials, Mekano Stud Bolts guarantee consistent performance over time, ensuring the sealing and safety of flanged joints in any operating conditions.
